Record Heat Day

Well, we planned today as a lazy day, but it was a good day for it. Last night Seattle had an official high low of 71 degrees. Today they had an official high of 103 degrees!

So, all we did was swim in the pool, go to lunch, drink ice water and iced tea.

Sorry for the lack of excitement to our readers!

As you read during the opening post, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds were in Dayton as we left... and the Blue Angels (the U. S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron) will be in Seattle as we leave! I don't know where the Angels will be parked, but they are not performing at the airport, but over Lake Washington near Mercer Island.

Bob finally had time to listen into a Pirates game thru Holiday Inn's free service and found out it was a day game on the west coast.... he tuned it in just as it ended. Then he found out Pirate shortstop Jack Wilson was traded to Seattle, but they were playing as he read that and are out of town tomorrow.

Sarah is going back to the pool. Bob is going to swim with her.

  1. The blue angels fly into Boeing Field - right at the Museum of Flight. The year that Judy and Grandma came out we were there and got to see them land!

Jack Wilson actually made it to the stadium and got to suit up and join the team in the dugout today for the last few innings. Everyone around here is pretty excited about the trade :)

And I didn't need to know it got to 103 today. My car said 108 when I was showing houses. It was brutal!
