Day 8

Well, we started out toward the Great Salt Lake and the locals discouraged us. This time of year, it is not so pleasant to experience. But we did get to Promontory Point.

Promontory Point is where the first transcontinental railroad was completed. So, of course Bob had to see it if he was in the area. It's a National Park, so our card has now gotten us in to eight places in a year!


Then we backtracked a little and headed for Boise, Idaho. We got there in time to do some swimming and had pizza in the room. Not just any pizza, the girl's favorite pizza - Papa John's!

Then we watched a little of the Seattle - Cleveland game to try to see Uncle Joe and Aunt Beth on TV. But when Debbie and I went to the hot tub, the girl found Disney channel more interesting that Uncle Joe ;-)
